ETF 2X Model Update. 07/24/09

At Covestor, I’m Number 6!

The above is from the Risk Adjusted Return table.  There are many ways to rank investors and if I poke around enough I will sometimes find myself ranked in the top 100.  In all honesty, three month performance stats can make you feel great or terrible but it’s the longer term results that count.  With that in mind, here are updated performance stats for my models:

I am aware that some investors want to know what the Profit Factor is for a given model.  My 2X ETF models are too new for the Profit Factors to be meaningful (they are very high by the way) so I will just provide the Profit Factors for the 1X ETF models.  For my Long/Short IWM model the PF is 4.55 and for my Long/Short QQQQ model the PF is 2.24.  A PF of 2.0 or greater is generally considered to be very good.  The PF is calculated by dividing the total profit from successful trades by the losses of unsuccessful trades.

For those of you who don’t visit Covestor’s web site regularly, you may be interested in visiting their new investment management site here.  You can allocate a given dollar value to be invested as per the trades made by Covestor members such as myself.  If you are interested in selecting me as a manager please contact me (etf2xsupport@gmail.com) and if there is sufficient interest I will set myself up as a Covestor Manager.

I hope you have a great weekend.
